Back on the court as world champions: The Euro Floorball Tour in Gümligen

From September 4 to 6, 2026, the Swiss women’s national team will host the Czech Republic, Finland, and Sweden at the Mobiliar Arena in Gümligen. These will be their first home games since winning gold at the World Championships in Ostrava.

In December, Switzerland stood atop the podium in Ostrava. Nine months later, the same team will take the field in Gümligen—for the first time as champions and in front of their home crowd. The Euro Floorball Tour brings together exactly the same opponents the team faced in the medal matches in the Czech Republic: the Czech Republic reached the final, Finland took bronze, and Sweden finished fourth. The world’s top four teams, three days, one arena.

For Oscar Lundin’s team, the EFT is their first serious competition since the World Championships. The Euro Floorball Tour is the tournament where the top nations face off between World Championships. No title is at stake, but the games are for real: These are the only opportunities of the year when Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, and the Czech Republic compete against each other.

World Championship Finalists on Sunday

Friday evening is the first highlight. At 8:00 p.m., Switzerland faces Finland, the bronze medalists from Ostrava. Sweden follows on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., and the Czech Republic wraps up the tournament on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. For those who can only come one day: Sunday features a rematch with the World Championship finalists.

In addition to the senior national team, the U19 and U23 teams will also be playing. Both will face the Czech U19 team in Gümligen on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—each time between the senior matches.
