NEW DARK-POP GEMS
Gloomy club sounds, an electrifying atmosphere, raw intensity, goosebumps, and epic anthems for emotional warriors—that’s Blutengel. On April 17, Chris Pohl and Ulrike Goldmann will be coming to Z7 with their new album and a spectacular new stage show to once again transport us into their pitch-black soundscape.
For nearly three decades, the band led by mastermind Chris Pohl (vocals, programming) and Ulrike Goldmann (vocals) has been a mainstay of the goth scene. With their last album, “Dämonen: Sturm,” Blutengel climbed to No. 6 on the German album charts in the spring of 2025. In February 2027, a new album will hit the stores, with which the duo is once again setting its sights on the top spots on the charts. Blutengel and their music—that’s a way of life all its own, a creed, almost a religion in itself. Since 1998, Chris Pohl and his band have proven that one can be extremely successful even by embracing the dark side of life. Originally founded as a pure dark electro project, Pohl soon devoted himself to an extremely catchy blend of dance, pop, and mystical gothic elements, accompanied by elaborate multimedia presentations and spectacular live performances featuring dancers, fire shows, light and video art. Blutengel concerts are a spectacle that you have to experience for yourself to truly grasp. Few live acts are able to create such an intense atmosphere right off the bat and captivate the audience the way the Berliners do. And now Blutengel are heading out on another major headlining tour to perform their brand-new material alongside their time-tested hits. There’s great anticipation for the complete package, featuring new dark-pop gems, a fine selection of Blutengel classics, and a fantastic new show.
