From La Catrina to the Letzigrund Zurich stadium: Hecht play the biggest concert of their career on June 12, 2027
What began in 2011 in the La Catrina bar in Zurich in front of just under 100 people will take the dialect pop band Hecht to the biggest live stage in Switzerland in summer 2027: the Letzigrund Zurich stadium. Stefan Buck (vocals), Christoph Schröter (guitar), Chris Filter (drums), Philipp Morscher (electric bass) and Daniel Gisler (keyboard), who have just finished a sold-out tour, think: "If not now, then when?"
From La Catrina to the Letzigrund stadium: this is probably the biggest possible circle that can be closed on Swiss stages. And it's another highlight in the career of Hecht, who are currently surfing on a huge wave of fan love. Their hit "Mon Amour" is being celebrated across borders; the sold-out "LOVERS" tour for their current successful album took them to 31 concerts in Austria, Germany and Switzerland's biggest venues. Tickets for the club concerts sold out within a day. This was recognized at this year's Swiss Music Awards, where they won four awards, including for the third time in the "Best Live Act" category. Anyone who has seen Hecht live even once knows that this award is more than deserved. Whether in a small sweaty club, at festivals or in the biggest halls in the country: Hecht play every concert as if it were their last and always manage to take the audience on a journey from the most intimate moments to absolute euphoria.
Anyone who knows the band knows that Stefu, Chregu, Chris, Phil and Gisi are far from tired of live concerts, even after a concert marathon like the "LOVERS" tour. Instead of taking a break, Hecht are planning their next adventure. On June 12, 2027, they will fulfill their most daring boyhood dream and play the biggest show of their career to date at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich with all their old and new fans. A concert in front of around 50,000 fans in the Letzigrund Zurich stadium - where international superstars such as Taylor Swift, AC/DC and Coldplay can usually be seen live.
For Hecht, now is exactly the right time for this: "We've just played a huge tour and looked into these euphoric faces night after night for weeks. We feel extremely supported by our fans. They are totally ready. It's surreal. That's why it feels right to take this euphoria one step further right now". Stefan Buck thinks: "Actually, it was always the fans who told us how 'big' we are anyway." And right now it feels like the time is ripe for one of the biggest concert events in Swiss pop history.
You can hear very clearly from these lines how closely the band is connected to its fans. The five friends felt the effect of this "pike energy" for the first time at the now legendary gig at Bar La Catrina in 2011. The band chemistry was already right in the rehearsal room, but: "The concert was the big bang for us. All our friends were there, not all of them voluntarily, but they were there. And when the show started, everyone in the room felt that what belongs together was coming together. Pike energy," says Christoph Schröter. Since then, the five friends have built everything together step by step and are living their shared dream on stage.
The big step onto Switzerland's biggest stage is doubly emotional for Stefan Buck. "I have a very special relationship with the Letzigrund because I live about 100 meters from the stadium. I hear every sound check, every concert. I would never have dreamed that we would be on that stage now."
The concert is being organized by Gadget, Hecht's long-time partner: "Gadget has been with us since day one. They were already at the start at La Catrina. And now we're doing the huge Letzi adventure together. A collaboration that has built up over 15 years and is now reaching another high point. This is not only a special sense of achievement for us as a band, but also for the whole team that has been with us since the beginning."
In addition to Gadget, Zürcher Kantonalbank ZKB is also an important partner of the concert. Roger Liebi, Vice President of the Bank Council of Zürcher Kantonalbank, says: "As a close bank, we are actively involved in life in the canton of Zurich. Hecht live stands for togetherness and great emotions. It fills us with pride that we can contribute to making this experience possible for thousands of Hecht fans in Switzerland's largest stadium. The commitment as a presenting partner strengthens and complements our existing, wide-ranging music partnerships in an ideal way."
Of course, Hecht are not yet revealing in detail what surprises fans can expect at the Letzigrund. Chris Filter only reveals this much: "We want it to feel like a crazy club concert where people even sing along behind the bar - only a hundred times bigger." At this point, you can already imagine what it sounds like when almost 50,000 people sing "Mon Amour".
The official pre-sale for the concert starts on June 12, 2026 at 12 noon at Ticketcorner. This leaves exactly 365 days to prepare for the 2027 concert highlight. And anyone who has tried to get hold of tickets for past concerts knows how quickly they sell. That's why everyone should get their Hecht family together now for this unique concert.
