Muse
The exceptional English rock band is coming to Germany and Switzerland on tour with a new album at the end of the year
With the release of their latest single, “Nightshift Superstar,” Muse have announced The Wow! Signal Europe Tour, during which they will perform their new album "The Wow! Signal," which is set to be released on June 26 via Warner Records. Before the European tour, the rock band from Teignmouth, England, will embark on a North American tour, which begins with a headline performance at Summerfest Milwaukee on July 5 and ends in Los Angeles on August 31. Following arena concerts in the UK, Muse will return to mainland Europe in November, where, after a show at Berlin’s Uber Arena, they will play two shows each at Düsseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome and Zurich’s AG Hallenstadion.
Muse consists of singer, guitarist, and keyboardist Matt Bellamy, drummer Dominic Howard, and multi-instrumentalist Chris Wolstenholme. Since their formation in 1994, Muse have released nine albums and sold over 30 million records worldwide. Known for being one of the best live bands in the world, the trio has won numerous music awards: Two Grammys for “The Resistance” (2011) and “Drones” (2016) as Best Rock Albums, an American Music Award, five MTV Europe Music Awards, two Brit Awards, eleven NME Awards, and seven Q Awards, among other accolades. Their latest album, “Will of the People” (2022), debuted at No. 1 on the album charts in several countries worldwide and became their seventh consecutive album to top the UK charts.
Back in March, Muse spectacularly announced their tenth studio album, “The Wow! Signal,” with the song “Be With You.” They broadcast the announcement from space, which resulted in coverage by Pitchfork, NME, Consequence, Kerrang!, and Billboard. With over 3 million streams in its first week, the single reached No. 1 on the “Most Added” charts on Alternative Radio and has since firmly established itself in the format’s Top 5. The newly released single “Nightshift Superstar” follows “Be With You” and precedes the songs “Cryogen,” “Hexagons,” and the track “Unravelling”—released back in 2025—which will also appear on the band’s upcoming album. With these five singles from their upcoming LP, Muse are revealing "The Wow! Signal" universe piece by piece. The album takes its name from one of the most fascinating cosmic mysteries of the last century: a 72-second radio pulse discovered in 1977 and originating from the constellation Sagittarius. Jerry R. Ehman, the astrophysicist who discovered this anomaly, circled the now-iconic sequence “6EQUJ5” with a red pen on a printout of the document and wrote the word “Wow!” next to it—which secured the signal’s name in science and pop culture. “The Wow! Signal” explores themes such as extraterrestrial communication, technological fears, existential questions, and humanity’s search for meaning and significance in an increasingly alienated world.
