RIN stands for emotionality like no other rapper. With his melancholic lyrics, he succeeds in giving German rap a new direction. In 2012 his musical career began with a freestyle competition in the park. Today, with four gold and four platinum awards, he is one of Germany's most successful hip-hop stars.
RIN's early life
RIN grew up in Baden-Württemberg Bietigheim-Bissingen. As a teenager, he became interested in rap, listening to music by 50 Cent and Notorious B.I.G. But he is also interested in the emotional music from the former Yugoslavia, his parents' home country.
In 2012 he competed in a freestyle battle in the Japan Garden in Bietigheim-Bissingen, which made him an invitation to a friend's recording studio. This is where RIN's first musical recording "Lungenembolie" is made together with the rapper Caz Musik, who cuts RIN's part out of the song after the recording and submits the shortened version as an application for the VBT rap tournament.

RIN's way to success
In 2015 the track "Ljubav/Beichtstuhl" will be released. Breed, a producer of the label "Alles oder Nix", likes the melancholic song. However, due to artistic differences, the album they produced together was never published.
RIN met the Austrian rapper Yung Hurn via the online music service SoundCloud. RIN records the album "Mafia der Liebe" with him, which is still unreleased. Only the summer hit "Bianco" appears as the first single release and becomes a success. The song received the title "German rap single of the year" from Juice magazine.
In the same year, RIN's cooperation with the Berlin independent label "Live From Earth" began. Genesis EP is RIN's first solo release in collaboration with the collective. The album will be released in March 2016.
The synth sounds come from the producers Lex Lugner, Kain, Jax, Devonwho, Meltycanon, Canis Major and Minhtendo, who heavily use Auto -Tune assisted voice RINs to soundtrack. The simple lyrics tell of a gloomy world. Critics praise him because RIN represents a counterpoint to the "over-masculinization" typical of rap. However, the rapper doesn't like being pigeonholed as spherical cloud rap.
RIN's way into the charts
Celebrates after his great success on SoundCloud RIN made his commercial debut in 2017 with the album Eros through the Division Recordings label. The LP made it to number 3 in the German charts and was awarded gold. A year later, RIN's first mixtape "Planet Megatron" was released, which made it to number 17 in the German charts and number 15 in the Austrian and Swiss charts.
The rapper also really gives it his all live and sells numerous tickets for his shows: RIN's tours on "Eros" and "Planet Megatron" visit more than 100,000 people. In 2019, the rapper performed at several festivals such as Melt! and Dockville. At the 2019 year-end concert in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle in Stuttgart, he raps in front of his home fans.
The LP "Neverland" will be released in 2020. RIN himself says: "This album is my life." The songs, which are about Hollywood, huge crowds of fans and the Paris Fashion Week, are correspondingly complex. On the other hand, he also addresses his homeland and his brothers.
The rapper receives prominent support for numerous tracks. Artists like Bausa, who, like RIN, comes from Bietigheim-Bissingen, Sido and the band Bilderbuch take part in the recordings. The album made it to number 3 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It reached number 33 in the German annual charts.
