Billy Cobham 2027

A jazz-fusion legend and five decades of musical journeys around the world

Billy Cobham is one of the most influential drummers in modern music history. As a founding member of the legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra, a longtime collaborator with Miles Davis, and the creator of the groundbreaking album *Spectrum*, the musician—born in Panama and raised in New York—has had a decisive influence on jazz-rock and fusion music.

His career reads like a chapter in music history: Cobham has played and collaborated with greats such as John McLaughlin, Miles Davis, George Benson, Carlos Santana, George Duke, and John Scofield. With his solo debut *Spectrum*, released in 1973, he set a milestone in jazz fusion—an album whose virtuoso blend of jazz, rock, funk, and electronic sounds continues to resonate to this day.

But Billy Cobham doesn’t just look back. He sees his current music as a reflection of an extraordinary journey through Europe as well as North, Central, and South America. The encounters and experiences from more than five decades form the foundation for music that continues to evolve with every concert.

Together with outstanding musicians, Cobham brings this musical journey to the stage: Bjorn Arko (woodwinds), Gary Husband (keyboards), Rocco Zifarelli (guitar), Antonio Baldino (trumpet/flugelhorn), Andrea Andreoli (trombone), and Victor Cisternas (bass).

The audience can look forward to an evening blending jazz, rock, funk, and fusion—characterized by complex rhythms, virtuoso ensemble playing, and the unmistakable energy of a musician who has been one of the defining figures of his genre for decades.
