Fantasy are a pop duo from Berlin and Essen. The two singers Martin Hein and Fredi Malinowski have already released several number 1 albums and achieved gold and platinum status several times. Despite their success, Fantasy remain modest: The main thing is that their fans sing along loudly and have fun, according to the musicians.
The two members of Fantasy met in 1993. At that time, Martin Hein, a trained construction mechanic, was gaining his first stage experience as a pop singer under the name Martin Marcell. Fredi Malinowski, then known as Freddy März, is also on the road as a solo artist and happens to have the same management and producer as Martin Hein.
Martin and Fredi are often booked for the same shows and usually sing a few songs together. Because this goes down well, the two pop singers perform more and more often as a duo. Eventually, after a show together, Fantasy is officially founded. In 1998, the duo released their debut single "Herz gesucht", which was followed shortly afterwards by their debut album "Mein schönstes Geschenk".
Although Fantasy were already welcome guests at Schlager events, the big success was a long time coming. But Martin Hein and Fredi Malinowski hold on to their dream of a successful music career. The breakthrough finally comes after Fantasy join Andrea Berg's tour as a support act. Shortly afterwards, ticket sales for Fantasy's own shows skyrocket.
With a master plan to the top of the charts

With the support of Andrea Berg's husband and manager Ulrich Ferber, Fantasy manages to catapult to the top of the German charts. Their albums "Land in Sicht" and "König in der Nacht", released in 2009 and 2010, land in the Top 100 and Top 40 of the charts. The Schlager duo can also look forward to two Echo nominations in the category "Best Schlager".
But that's just the beginning: while Fantasy play numerous shows and thrill their fans with further singles, they fine-tune an album with which they want to storm the top of the charts. In 2014, their plan comes to fruition. "A Night in Paradise" not only reaches No. 1 in the German album charts, but is also certified platinum.
Two years later, a lifelong dream comes true for Fantasy, who have been big fans of Modern Talking since childhood. With pop titan Dieter Bohlen, the musicians produce their seventh studio album "Freudensprünge", which once again takes Fantasy to No. 1 in the charts and is refined with gold status. They can repeat the success with "Casanova" and "10,000 bunte Luftballons" in 2019 and 2020.
The two pop singers still love to give concerts for their fans. And they can hardly wait to experience the catchy melodies, rousing rhythms and lyrics to sing along live - whether at big events like the Schlagernacht der Stars or Fantasy's own shows.

In private life, Martin Hein and Fredi Malinowski have remained down to earth despite their groundbreaking success.
Martin Hein has his home in Berlin and regularly visits his native Poland. He has a child together with pop singer Tanja Lasch. The couple has been divorced since 2017.
Fredi Malinowski lives with his husband in Essen. The pop singer has three children from a previous partnership. His son Sandro is following in his father's footsteps and is also a pop singer after guest appearances on fantasy shows and his participation in "Deutschland sucht den Superstar". When Fredi Malinowski is not on stage with Fantasy, he works with other Schlager stars and writes new song lyrics with them, for example with Schlager star Vanessa Mai.
