Kei Kunst - Helenka
With her new show “Kei Kunst,” singer and comedian Helenka hopes to finally become a renowned artist. During her artistic metamorphosis, she encounters the enthusiastic amateur artist Doris and Ms. Romantickova, a curator with a penchant for high-sounding phrases and dubious practices. On her way to the Olympus of high culture, the big question inevitably arises: When is it art—and when is it art therapy?
Helenka sings, performs, fails—and in the process creates a total work of art made up of humor, lighthearted songs, and a grab bag of vocal collages. Through transformations and a growing artistic urgency, an evening unfolds that oscillates between megalomania, glitter glue, and the quiet hope that someone will say at the end: This is art!
She is accompanied by Simon Althaus on 88 keys (52 white, 36 black) and Pascal Lüthi on percussion with two sticks and attitude.
In short: A humorous evening on stage that blends megalomania, music, and true art.
