ACUSTIC TOUR - TRANQUILO II
After sixteen years, the time has finally come again: In Extremo are going on another acoustic tour with Tranquilo II. On Thursday, December 3, 2026, the band will be stopping off at the venerable Volkshaus Zurich and promises an evening full of atmosphere, musical subtleties and surprising perspectives on well-known pieces.
When Tranquilo went on tour for the first time, the band showed a side that many fans had never experienced before: reduced, intimate and full of sonic detail. The response was overwhelming - and the desire for a sequel remained for years. Now In Extremo are opening a new chapter in this special concept. A lot has happened since the first Tranquilo project. New albums have been released, numerous songs have found their way into the repertoire and many of them are just crying out to be brought to life in a new, acoustic guise.
The band has been known for decades for its unique mix of rock, medieval instruments and historical influences. They remain true to their creative self-image. From their early performances at medieval markets to international festival and arena stages, In Extremo have shown time and again that musical curiosity is an integral part of their creative process.
For this tour, the musicians have also invited special guests: Oliver "SaTyr" Pade and Niel Mitra from Faun as well as violinistJustin Ciuche will enrich the program with additional timbres and virtuosic joy of playing.
The audience can look forward to a very special evening and an exclusive, seated concert that brings the songs of In Extremo to life in an impressive new way.
