Full steam ahead to St. Nicholas. On Saturday, December 5, 2026, we’ll take the historic steam train of the Zurich Museum Railroad to visit St. Nicholas in the Sihlwald.
Good—now we know where St. Nicholas lives. That way, we can visit him together with you on December 6, 2025.
Both trips will take place on a historic steam train operated by the Zurich Museum Railway, traveling from Zurich-Wiedikon to Sihlwald and back.
Once in Sihlwald, young and old alike will meet St. Nicholas, along with Schmutzli and Eseli, in the forest. After a short walk, a small celebration will take place outdoors on the grounds of the Zurich Wilderness Park Visitor Center. St. Nicholas is looking forward to listening to the little poems recited by the especially well-behaved children. The event is a very special St. Nicholas treat for the whole family!
The price of CHF 39.– (CHF 29.– for children up to age 16) includes the steam train ride, the celebration, punch or hot chocolate, decorated tables with treats, and—for all children—a generously filled St. Nicholas bag from the Taucherli chocolate factory in Adliswil.
