Ruego – ALBUM RELEASE PARTY FOR “Y”
On October 30, the Chollerhalle will become the place to be for hip-hop: Ruego will celebrate the release of his debut album “Y” with an evening that combines depth, wordplay, and live energy.
The rapper from the canton of Zug is known for his dialect rap with attitude. His lyrics deal with politics, society, nature, family, and personal contradictions—thoughtful, vivid, and without preaching. At the same time, Ruego proves that sophisticated rap doesn’t have to be dry: irony, humor, multi-layered rhymes, and powerful beats are just as much a part of his sound.
“Y” was produced by Lantarius Records. As a producer, DJ Eff played a decisive role in shaping the album’s sound—and will also be supporting Ruego live as a DJ this evening.
With his latest single “Z-U-G,” Ruego has dedicated a love letter to his hometown that is as personal as it is critical. The song has been very well received in the Zug area and exemplifies what his music stands for: a connection to the local community, honest observations, and rap with substance.
The album release party for “Y,” however, is more than just a retrospective on the album. That evening, Ruego will also present new, previously unreleased songs and offer a first glimpse into the next chapter of his creative work.
He’ll be joined by special guests Un1t, Mantra47, and Flöggi Westside, who will bring additional facets of the Swiss hip-hop scene to the stage. This is where thoughtful dialect rap meets youthful energy, diverse styles, and a shared passion for the culture.
An evening for hip-hop fans of all Generations—for everyone who appreciates powerful lyrics, authentic stories, and an energetic live show.
