Schellen-UrsliA musical for young and old
"High up in the mountains, far from here, there lives a little boy just like you." The Swiss children's book classic by Selina Chönz and Alois Carigiet begins with these enchanting words. Now "Schellen-Ursli" is conquering the stages of German-speaking Switzerland as a colorful musical, bringing mountain magic, music and heart palpitations for the whole family. Little Ursli lives with his family in the idyllic mountain village of Guarda in the Engadin. Every year in March, all the children eagerly await Chalandamarz: With the loud ringing of bells, winter is chased away and spring is welcomed. But Ursli, of all people, gets the smallest bell of all! Saddened by the mockery and laughter of the other children, he sheds bitter tears. But fortunately Ursli is not alone. His faithful friend, Mür the little mouse, bravely stands by his side. Together they make a bold decision: they want to get the big family bell from the family's mountain hut!
Icy cold, a raging snowstorm and snow-covered slopes put them to the test - but Ursli and Mür the little mouse summon up all their courage and fight their way forward step by step. Will they succeed in overcoming the storm? And will Ursli manage to return to the village in time with the heavier bell?
The loving production by Brigitt Maag and Paul Weilenmann (Karl's kühne Gassenschau) has already delighted thousands of spectators. A heart-warming children's musical about friendship, family, courage - and a great adventure in the mountains.
