UDO IN CELEBRATION
Udo Dirkschneider celebrates triple anniversary in 2027! 75 - 40 - 20 is the magic formula: The German metal legend turns 75, his formation U.D.O. has 40 years under its belt and is releasing album number 20 in the anniversary year. With the "Three Times Anniversary Tour", U.D.O. is coming to Pratteln in January to celebrate a big party with Swiss fans.
Udo Dirkschneider was actually supposed to follow in his father's footsteps and take over his parents' tool factory in Wuppertal. But as his musical commitments became more and more overwhelming, he had to decide at a young age: "Take over the company or go mad - so I went mad". Fortunately for all metal fans. With his bands Accept, U.D.O. and Dirkschneider, the singer has written music history over the last five decades and has become the epitome of the Teutonic metal frontman. Since the 80s, his character voice has shaped countless metal classics. Udo is a true icon of the genre, constantly redefining its history. This is also the case in 2027, a big year for the musician, as Udo celebrates his 75th birthday on April 6. He is giving himself the best present of all. With his band U.D.O., he delivers the twentieth studio album since the band was founded in 1987 - just in time for the start of the tour. The "Three Times Anniversary" release tour brings Udo and his fellow musicians to Z7 once again in January. One thing is for sure, when Dirkschneider is on stage it will be anthemic, brute and authentic beyond all measure. Tinu from the Metal Factory wrote about the last U.D.O. gig with the top ten album "Touchdown": "They came, played and tore the place apart. It was a great evening from a veteran band that still has a hell of a lot to say in metal."

Metal pur!
PRATTELN, Z7, 30.03.2015
Nach 25 Jahren wieder einmal U.D.O. live. Die Band ist sowas von stark. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder hingehen.
