“Unser blauer Planet - Live in Concert” is preparing to take audiences back beneath the waves with an epic live concert. “Unser blauer Planet - Live in Concert” will go on tour next year and make a stop at the Hallenstadion Zurich on May 18, 2027.

While audiences dive into an extraordinary underwater world this herbst on BBC One and iPlayer, the spectacular accompanying live concert will bring the series to life on an epic audiovisual scale.

Specially curated footage from “Blue Planet III” will be projected onto a state-of-the-art, 200-square-meter Ultra-HD LED screen—one of the largest of its kind ever used for an orchestral touring screen show and roughly the size of a tennis court— accompanied by the powerful new score for the series by Oscar® winner Hans Zimmer, composed in collaboration with Thom Lukas and Laurentia Editha for Bleeding Fingers Music, and performed live by the renowned Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Elizabeth White, executive producer of the BBC television series “Blue Planet III,” says: “Filming ‘Blue Planet III’ took us to places we never dared to dream we’d be filming. But it’s something truly special to bring this footage into a concert arena filled with people while the film score is played live all around them. This tour is our chance to present the series in a completely different setting.”

Hans Zimmer says: “There’s nothing more beautiful than experiencing this score live with an orchestra, especially when combined with the extraordinary images of underwater life. Thom, Laurentia, and I are thrilled that audiences can enjoy our score in this way.»

This brand-new 2027 tour builds on the remarkable success of BBC Earth’s previous live productions in the United Kingdom. “Blue Planet II Live in Concert,” “Planet Earth II Live in Concert,” and “Planet Earth III Live in Concert” are major live events in their own right and have brought some of television’s most spectacular nature films to Konzertsaals across the country. On May 18, 2027, this show will come to Zurich’s Hallenstadion.

The soundtrack to “Our Blue Planet III” continues the tradition of the “Blue Planet” and “Planet Earth,” in which the music complements nature and becomes an integral part of the live concert experience.
