Event Information
Moving piano melodies. Emotional lyrics. Emma Ruth Rundle is known for her emotionally charged and captivating music. Somewhere between folk, ambient, and post-rock.
Emma Ruth Rundle has announced her new album, *These Killing Times*, for this September. Like most of the songs on the album, “Powerless” is a response to a present filled with discouraging, dehumanizing headlines and social upheavals—from climate catastrophes and genocide to the erosion of democratic structures and fundamental rights.
With *These Killing Times*, the California-based artist responds to feelings of despair and isolation and presents an alternative vision that centers on community, love, and resilience. This shift in perspective is also reflected in the new album: Following the introspective and minimalistically orchestrated predecessor *Engine Of Hell*, Rundle returns to a full band lineup.
