The Nikis Kindermusik project was launched in 2020 by musician and father Dominik Haas, also known as the German reggae singer Jahcoustix. With his environmental song“Müll,” NIKI won the German children’s music award “Goldener Ohrwurm” in 2022, and his debut album “Hallo” was released in December 2022. There are music videos for some of the songs, for which NIKI designed and crafted the characters himself—including the video for the toothbrushing song “Schrubbi Doo,” which has been viewed over 500,000 times on YouTube since its release. NIKI’s songs are world music that sounds unobtrusive, spreads good cheer, and always invites listeners to sing along. The songs are all recorded with live instruments and are designed to teach young children not only fun and rhythm but also knowledge and values. At his concerts, NIKI consistently brings a sparkle to the children’s eyes with his natural and approachable manner. Incidentally, NIKI also goes on tour from time to time as a duo with his fellow musician Max Alberti (also known as the drummer for the band Jamaram). Together, they bring plenty of fun and entertainment to the stage for all children ages 3 to 7.
Of course, some of the funny characters from NIKI’s music videos are always along for the ride on tour as well. NIKI is currently working on his next album, which is expected to be released in the spring of 2027.
