Luke Mockridge is primarily known in Germany as a TV comedian and comedy entertainer with his own stage programme. The native Rhinelander, who owes his success not least to his authentic genuineness, is also active as a presenter, actor, author, musician and producer.
Luke Mockridge was born Lucas Edward Britton Mockridge in Bonn in March 1989. He grew up there with five brothers, the son of actor and cabaret artist Bill Mockridge and his wife, Italian actress and cabaret artist Margie Kinsky. Like his siblings, Luke Mockridge has both Italian and Canadian citizenship.
Humour as a craft is a tradition in the Mockridge family: In 1982, Luke Mockridge's father Bill founded the improvisation theatre Springmaus - his godfathers are none other than the German comedy greats Hella von Sinnen and Dirk Bach. But the Rhinelander was not only born with comedic talent: At the age of 16, Luke Mockridge received an invitation from the Bayer 04 Leverkusen football club to join their junior professional training programme.
Also in music, Luke Mockridge is a star.
Luke Mockridge is also no stranger to music: the young comedian taught himself to play the guitar and piano. After earning his International Baccalaureate in Bonn, Mockridge studied media and communication sciences in Canada, England and Germany.
He completed his studies with a Master's degree in Media Studies.
He graduates with a Bachelor's degree in 2012 - to move from the lecture hall to the stage, because that same year Mockridge's rise to become the shooting star of the German comedy scene begins!
