Sharp cabaret in striking Appenzell dialect
SIMON ENZLER
In his brand new program "zmetztinne"
Simon Enzler presents his brand new program. In what is now his tenth full-length program "zmetztinne", the Appenzell cabaret artist remains true to himself, but allows for artistic developments, as he has always done.
Simon Enzler is exactly "zmetztinne". Too old to be considered a newcomer, too young to be an old-timer, he is at a crucial point in his life. And because he was already on stage at the tender age of 15, he can now look back over three and a half decades as an attentive observer and eloquent regular.
How does he see himself, his profession and his environment? How do you deal with the signs of dwindling youth and growing diopters? How do you stay on course in the white water of the present? How much future is there in it? You don't know. Enzler is rowing. And has been for years. But that's exactly what gives him confidence. Because even if a rower is inevitably looking backwards, he is still moving forward. Simon Enzler talks about this and more in "zmetztinne".
