German stand-up comedian EMMVEE is bringing his new show, «Ich bitte um Verzeihung», to Dübendorf and Bern. The show explores social norms, personal stories, and the limits of humor.
Does the supposed apology follow «War das zu hart?» At least the title «Ich bitte um Verzeihung» sounds like remorse. But EMMVEE stays true to his direct style. With this new show, he builds on his previous work while also striking out in a new direction. Instead of merely commenting on the quirks of others, this time he places greater emphasis on his own experiences.
In his new show, EMMVEE shares more stories from his own life. Personal experiences intertwine with observations about how people interact with one another and which unwritten rules govern everyday life. Even the little things that get everyone worked up find their place. Whether the apology in the title is meant seriously remains open to interpretation.
From April 30 to May 2, 2027, EMMVEE will also be stopping in Switzerland with his third solo show. Two shows will take place on April 30 and May 1 at The Hall in Dübendorf. This will be followed by another performance on May 2 at the Kursaal Arena in Bern.
