Peach Weber from Aargau is one of Switzerland's best-known comedians. He has been making audiences laugh with his humorous songs and dry wit since the 1970s. The comedian has big plans again in 2025: He is touring Switzerland with his new program "King of Gäx".
Born in Wohlen in 1952, Peach Weber initially trained as a primary school teacher. However, his passion for music and humor soon led him to the stage. Through a talent competition - in which he took part with just his guitar and a wobbly music stand - the man from Aargau became known to a wider audience.
Peach Weber combines music with stand-up comedy and relies on wordplay, absurd stories and subtle humor. His trademark is his emphatically calm delivery, which makes his punchlines all the more accurate.
Peach has brought more than a dozen stage programs to the Swiss comedy stage. They bear titles such as Gägsgüsi, Lach-Sack, iPeach or Gäxplosion. He has also made a name for himself musically with his humorous songs. Songs such as "D'Borkechäfer", "Oberall Heds Pilzi Draa" or "I Be En Aargauer" are cult today. Peach Weber also caused a sensation with his Guinness world record. His show on October 15, 2027 - one day after his 75th birthday - went on sale 18 years before the date of the event. Never before have tickets for an event gone on sale earlier than those of the Swiss comedian.
In his latest program, Peach refers to one of the most important days in his life. On July 24, 2022, he was awarded the highest honorary title in the European entertainment scene by the Dean of the Royal University of Europe's Funniest People in London in the presence of the Queen: "King of Gäx". Fortunately, Peach decided against a world tour and continues to tour Switzerland. Tickets for "King of Gäx" are available from Friday, February 21, 2025 at 10 am.
