The master of sharp-tongued provocation, Ricky Gervais, is coming to Switzerland in 2025 with his new show "Mortality". On Saturday, July 5, 2025, he will perform at the Hallenstadion Zurich and challenge his audience with a good dose of British humor.
Ricky Gervais (63) has established himself as one of the most influential comedians and creative minds of our time. As the creator and lead actor of cult series such as "The Office", "Extras" and the Netflix hit "After Life", he has left a lasting mark on the comedy landscape. His most recent Netflix special "Armageddon" was the most-watched Netflix show of the year and even earned him a Golden Globe. Ricky Gervais has hosted the Golden Globe Awards five times and even made it into the Guinness Book of Records for the highest-grossing comedy event of all time with his performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
As the title of his new show, "Mortality", suggests: Gervais will be tackling human mortality. He plans to take a humorous look at the absurdities of life and death. His motto for the show is: "We're all going to die. We might as well laugh about it." With "Mortality", Gervais continues his tradition of pushing the boundaries of humor while remaining relevant and entertaining.
