Not a word spoken, but plenty of physical energy: Starbugs Comedy is touring Switzerland with their new show, “Showtime!” Fabian Berger, Wassilis Reigel, and Martin Burtscher blend dance, acrobatics, and comedy into an evening that gets by without words—and works everywhere precisely because of that. From late October through early December 2026, the trio will make stops in eleven Swiss cities.
Fäbu, Silu, and Tinu—as the trio calls themselves—have known each other since their school days in the Bernese Seeland. They won their first awards early on: the Golden Bear in Bern in 2001 and the Small Prix Walo as a special act in 2003. In 2004, they appeared on stage in the Ursus & Nadeschkin variety show.
Starbugs Comedy have performed in over thirty countries, from New York to Tokyo. They toured three times with Circus Knie, performed at the Olympic Games in Turin and London, and appeared on more than twenty TV shows, including “Benissimo,” “Giacobbo/Müller,” and the “Quatsch Comedy Club.” In 2010, the jury of the Monte Carlo International Circus Festival awarded them four prizes, presented by Prince Albert and Princess Stephanie. In 2017, they won the Prix Pantheon Audience Award and took third place at the Hamburg Comedy Cup. Since 2014, the trio has been headlining full-length shows: first with “Crash Boom Bang,” then with “Jump!” starting in 2018, and now with “Showtime!”
In “Showtime!”, the trio travels through the world of show business, playing their way through everything the glitz and spotlight have to offer. There is no speaking. The punchlines arise from movement, pace, and facial expressions, with twists that the audience thinks they see coming—and then don’t. The show was directed by Nadja Sieger, alias Nadeschkin. She’s known the trio since their early days and has already directed their previous shows. The *Hessische Allgemeine* wrote about the evening: “Ninety minutes of childlike joy in life.” Sore muscles from laughing included
