Internet comedian Cedric Schild brings his first stage program "I de Videos bini lustiger" to Swiss stages.
He convicted grandchild fraudsters, got coronavirus sceptics to wear masks and convinced an army officer to send confidential documents in a prank phone call. Cedric Schild, alias Supercedi, is an investigative journalist, satirist and comedian. In his contributions to the social media magazine "izzy", he exposes grievances in a witty and provocative way. His videos are clicked millions of times.
The Sonntagszeitung newspaper recognized Cedric Schild's success by awarding him the title "Filou national". He is probably the first Swiss internet star to appeal to all generations with his humor. Cedric Schild gained further fame through his role in the SRF series "Tschugger". In it, he plays the naive and clumsy Zurich police trainee Smetterling, who can't get anything right.
Now it's time to take to the stage: the combination of stand-up and personality show means the internet star is breaking out of his comfort zone. The director is none other than Viktor Giacobbo. The two met at the Swiss Comedy Awards. Giacobbo approached the young comedian and said: "With your ability to improvise and your talent for journalism, you belong in front of a live audience".
It was also at the Swiss Comedy Awards that Cedric Schild gave an insight into his first stage program. "The viewers in front of the TV can still switch over now", he said at the beginning of his performance. He was sorry for the audience on site. He had stolen the title of his program from an influencer he had met at an event. After a brief exchange of words, she said to Schild: "You're funnier in the videos".
Despite the negative announcement, the demand for tickets for the stage program is huge. The show is already sold out in many cities and only a few tickets are still available in the remaining cities. However, those who want to see the lively entertainer live have another chance. On December 2, 2024, Cedric Schild will give an additional show at the Bierhübeli in Bern.
