The band around singer Myles Kennedy is considered one of the most influential acts in modern hard rock. Alter Bridge already performed a Euro tour in June 2025, but Switzerland came away empty-handed. Now they will be back in 2026 as part of their "What Lies Within" tour with renewed energy and their usual precision - and this time in Switzerland too.
Alter Bridge have been a constant on the international rock scene for over two decades. Founded in 2004 by Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall (formerly of Creed), the band added Myles Kennedy, one of the most distinctive voices in the genre. The band has always stood for precise guitar work, anthemic choruses and a dynamic live show.
Following the release of their latest studio album "Pawns & Kings" in 2022 and a first tour phase in the USA, numerous festival appearances followed, including Rock am Ring in 2025. Now they are announcing further appearances and will be coming to Switzerland on February 5, 2026 as part of their "What Lies Within" tour at The Hall Zurich. They will be bringing Daughtry and Sevendust to the stage as special guests
It's no coincidence that Alter Bridge are also playing in Switzerland. The band filled Halle 622 back in 2019 and received rave reviews. For many fans in this country, their sound is a mixture of alternative metal, hard rock and melodic depth. And this is more than just a nostalgic remnant of the 2000s.
As it's been a while since their last album, the setlist is likely to include new songs as well as a look back at classics such as "Broken Wings", "Open Your Eyes" and "Metalingus". Myles Kennedy's voice, paired with Tremonti's precise guitar playing, forms the backbone of their shows.
Live, the band impresses above all with its well-rehearsed nature. After more than 20 years of band history, Alter Bridge seem experienced without being jaded. Lighting effects and sound mixing remain at a high level. Particularly noteworthy is the tension between the hard riffs and the delicate nuances.
Alter Bridge's upcoming concert in Switzerland is more than just another tour stop. Anyone who wants to experience the current state of modern rock music live will find a worthwhile opportunity here. With the Live Club, tickets are already available from July 16, 2025 16:00. The public pre-sale starts from July 18, 2025 11:00 am.
