In 2027, Andrea Bocelli will look back on three decades of “Romanza.” His world tour of the same name will also bring the tenor to Switzerland. On May 22, he will take the stage at Zurich’s Hallenstadion. The concert will feature the songs that have shaped his international career.
In 1997, Andrea Bocelli released his album “Romanza.” The album cemented the Italian tenor’s status as an international star. It blended classical vocal traditions with simple pop melodies and grand ballads.
“Con te partirò” in particular became his musical trademark. Together with Sarah Brightman, Bocelli released the duet version “Time to Say Goodbye.” The song received additional attention in 1996 due to Henry Maske’s farewell boxing match.
Three decades later, this repertoire is once again taking center stage. The “Romanza World Tour” celebrates Bocelli’s musical breakthrough and his artistic evolution.
Bocelli’s career began long before his international breakthrough. In 1993, he won the Newcomer category at the Sanremo Festival. This was followed by opera productions, international duets, and successful studio albums.
His voice ranges from classical arias to popular love songs. It is precisely this blend that appeals to audiences across generations.
The anniversary tour will take Bocelli to several European cities in May 2027. Performances are planned in Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, and Stuttgart.
In between, he’ll perform his Swiss concert at the Hallenstadion in Zurich. The concert will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2027.
