When Anna Rossinelli surprises us with her new single «If You Don't Know», it's just the latest step in a remarkable career – and also the start of a big year: in 2026, the musician from Basel will go on a tour of the same name with her upcoming album «Heat». Tickets for the «Heat Tour» are available now. Her edgy new track shows where the journey is heading: rougher, more direct and more experimental than usual.
Their story began modestly in 2008: Anna Rossinelli, Manuel Meisel and Georg Dillier founded their trio and initially attracted attention as street musicians. A classic path that hardly seems conceivable today. The big breakthrough came in 2011 with their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest – after that, nothing was the same again.
This was followed by the first album, tours through Switzerland and concerts abroad. Four more studio albums were to follow, two of which even reached number 1 in the Swiss charts. A remarkable record for a band that once played on the street.
2023 was an intense year: Anna shared the stage with other local artists on «Sing meinen Song: Das Schweizer Tauschkonzert» and released her sixth album «Mother» with the trio, which reached number 3. Anna Rossinelli also proved that she has more to offer than just music as an actress in the successful series «Tschugger».
In 2024, there were signs of another change: With «Deja Vu», a collaboration with Sam Himself, she ushered in a new phase.
Today, Anna Rossinelli is more willing to experiment. The single «Heat» has already been in the Swiss airplay charts for 20 weeks. At festivals such as Energy Air in Thun in front of over 10,000 spectators, she proves that she is also convincing live.
This was followed in July by «Too Late», a more reflective song about unspoken truths and missed opportunities. Now comes «If You Don't Know» – a track about unrequited love with more rough edges than usual.
The new material is produced by Thomas Fessler and Tom Oehler and was created with their long-standing band colleagues Meisel and Dillier. The proven team ensures continuity, while Anna explores new musical paths.
Stylistically, «Heat» promises a range from organic pop to electronic elements and rock outbursts. After 17 years in the business, Anna Rossinelli seems far from having reached the end of her creative possibilities.
