«Fuck U». Well, that just had to be said. This smash hit remains Archive’s best-known song to this day. In the fall of 2027, the London-based band will perform at THE HALL and the Geneva Arena.
Anyone who knows Archive only from this one song is missing out on a lot. Since 1994, the band from South London has been crafting soundscapes that blend trip-hop, art rock, and electronic music. And when these Englishmen get going, it’s a real treat for the ears. Brilliant both lyrically and musically.
On March 19, 2027, «Not In My Name», their 15th studio album, will be released. Founder Darius Keeler says the band is responding to world events and collective anger with this album. In the title track, all five members of the band sing together for the first time. Rapper Jimmy Collins is now a permanent member of the band.
You can catch them live on September 30, 2027, at THE HALL in Dübendorf and on October 1 at the Geneva Arena. If you’re looking for an album to take to a desert island in the meantime: «Controlling Crowds» from 2009. It peaked at No. 2 in Switzerland.
