After three years and nine months, BTS have made an impressive comeback. The seven-member South Korean boy band not only presents their new album «Arirang», but also a music video, special appearances and a monster tour.
Here they are again! BTS, the exceptional South Korean boyband, is finally back. The comeback and the new record «Arirang» were eagerly awaited by ARMY (Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth). After the forced hiatus in which Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook did their mandatory military service and pursued solo projects, the comeback definitely marks a big moment in pop culture history.
The new album contains 14 tracks and is named after a Korean folk song. «Arirang» is thus intended to symbolize the band's roots and the feelings they are experiencing in 2026. For their fifth studio album, the seven boys incorporated all their previous experiences and travels. The result is a very personal work in collaboration with experienced songwriters and producers such as Diplo, Kevin Parker (Tame Impala) and Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic).
The first part of the album convinces with powerful tracks and lots of bass. Songs like «Body to Body», «Hooligan» and «FYA» will definitely get the ARMY off their seats at live gigs and get them singing along. In the second half, things become a little more sedate. «Merry Go Round», «Like Animals» and «Please» are quieter. However, the distinctive bass is not lost.
In addition to the new album, there is also something visual to see from BTS with the music video for «Swim». A free concert is also planned for March 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul. On March 23, the band will return to the USA for the first time in four years. More precisely to New York, where the Spotify x BTS: SWIMSIDE event for 1,000 fans will take place. And then it really gets going! On the BTS World Tour Arirang, the boys will be performing on 82 dates around the globe. The only fly in the ointment is that there is no date in Switzerland on the tour schedule. Hopefully only for the time being ...
