Fans of honest hard rock can rejoice: CoreLeoni will be playing two concerts in their home country in September 2026. On September 23, they will play at Plaza Zurich, followed by a performance on September 24 at OldCapitol Langenthal. Two evenings dedicated to classic rock, passion and musical heritage.
The band hails from Ticino and is closely linked to Swiss rock history. At the center of CoreLeoni is Leo Leoni, guitarist and co-founder of Gotthard. With this project in 2018, he fulfilled his wish to revive the sound of his musical roots. This is how CoreLeoni was born: a band that revives well-known hits while creating fresh songs in the spirit of classic hard rock.
The debut album "The Greatest Hits - Part 1" immediately made waves: Newly interpreted Gotthard classics met a fresh production and delighted both loyal fans and new listeners. Nostalgia meets modern energy.
CoreLeoni stand for a sound that is strongly influenced by the 80s and 90s: powerful guitar riffs, melodic choruses and a noticeable attention to detail. A particular highlight is their interpretation of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones - a tribute that captures the spirit of the original while bearing the band's signature.
CoreLeoni went one step further with their third album (2022): in addition to fresh songs, it also includes rarely played Gotthard tracks that shine in a new light.
In addition to their celebrated reinterpretations, CoreLeoni have long since made a name for themselves with their own material. "Let Life Begin Tonight" is emblematic of the band's new start. Equally formative is "Like It Or Not", a powerful rock song that gets to the heart of the band's modern sound. With "Purple Dynamite", CoreLeoni also show their flair for the typical hard rock spirit.
