It was the most successful phase of their career and Dabu Fantastic have crowned it with the most personal conclusion imaginable: after the acclaimed studio album "Ciao Baby, Ciao", a sold-out tour and the Swiss Music Award for "Best Live Act", they are now releasing their very first live album.
The band has been around for almost two decades. Dabu Bucher founded Dabu Fantastic in 2008, and since then the group has developed into one of the most popular Swiss live bands. With music somewhere between dialect pop, soul and handmade groove, they have played their way through countless festivals, clubs and halls, building up a loyal fan base and proving time and again that they are just as strong on stage as they are in the studio. Albums such as "So Easy" and "Ciao Baby, Ciao" show a band that is constantly evolving without losing its roots in the Swiss music scene.
The new album was recorded in November 2025 at Sternensaal Bümpliz, a traditional venue on the outskirts of Bern. Not a random location: Dabu Bucher moved there during the "Ciao Baby, Ciao" era because of his new love. Playing the final concert of the tour right on his doorstep had something round and harmonious about it.
What emerged from those evenings in November is more than just a concert documentary. Without post-production, mixed directly by Bernese audio legend Oli Bösch, you can hear the real moment on "Live in Bümpliz": the energy in the hall, the audience's confidence in the lyrics, the band's joy in playing. Guests such as Baschi, Nina Valotti, Bänz Friedli and Riana are also on board. It sounds as handmade as music rarely sounds in 2026.
