Anyone who knows Danger Dan is familiar with his dry humor, his precision and the moment when a beautiful chord suddenly hurts. Those just discovering him will find a strong introduction on October 28, 2026 at Volkshaus Zurich. The member of the Antilopen Gang doesn't play piano songs to sit back and relax to. His songs listen carefully, ask questions, disagree politely and then hit you pretty directly.
Daniel Pongratz aka Danger Dan became famous as part of the Antilopen Gang. With "Das ist alles von der Kunstfreiheit gedeckt", he showed a different side in 2021: piano instead of rap beat, song form instead of loudness, subtle punchlines instead of big posturing. It works because Danger Dan doesn't put up posters about political issues. He tells them about doubt, everyday life, love, fear and absurdities that seem almost too familiar.
This concert is just as exciting for long-time fans as it is for anyone who only knows him by name. On stage, language, timing and the little pauses between the lines count. Between biting wit and quiet moments, the result is an evening that remains accessible and yet never becomes slick. One piano, one singer, many rebuttals.
