Dark anthems, majestic guitar riffs and the unmistakable voice of Amy Lee - Evanescence are back in 2026 with a new world tour, including a stop at the Hallenstadion Zurich on September 29, 2026.
Next year, the band will play their first full European tour since the Worlds Collide Tour 2022, when the British "Telegraph" gave the band its highest rating and attested to their "classy, majestic heaviness".
In recent years, the band from Little Rock, Arkansas, has not been completely quiet, but rather selective: in 2023, for example, Evanescence headlined the British Download Festival, while in 2025, in addition to a few selected festival shows, the focus was primarily on new songs.
Singer Amy Lee used the time for various musical excursions - including several soundtrack contributions for series and films. She collaborated with artists who are artistically close to her - such as Poppy, K.Flay and Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox.
The joint track "End Of You" with Poppy and LaPlante is one of several new projects that show that Evanescence never tires of reinventing itself, even after more than two decades.
Amy Lee and the band therefore have a lot planned for the upcoming tour: "We're taking all the energy and inspiration from this year into the next - and turning it into an epic 2026," says Lee. What that means will be seen on stage from the fall. In any case, new songs have been announced - whether purely digital or live remains to be seen.
There will also be top-class support at the show in Zurich: US artist Poppy, who has been moving somewhere between electropop, metal and performance art for years, will be there as a special guest. The evening will be opened by the British duo Nova Twins - known for their energetic mix of rock, punk and electronic beats.
In addition to Amy Lee, the current line-up of Evanescence consists of Tim McCord (guitar), Troy McLawhorn (guitar), Will Hunt (drums) and Emma Anzai (bass). If you want to experience the band live, you can look forward to a set of classics such as "Bring Me to Life" and new songs.
