The Swiss rap legends are back and will be serving up some hip-hop nostalgia twice during the Advent season. Following their triumphant reunion, Sens Unik are bringing their cult hits first to Bierhübeli Bern (December 14) and then to Komplex 457 Zurich (December 15).
Founded in 1988, Carlos Leal, Just One, Deborah, Bio, Rade and Osez turned Sens Unik into THE hip-hop institution in Switzerland. With hits such as "Le vent tourne" and "Paquito", they made their mark on the 90s and collected five golds. As pioneers of French-language rap, they put Switzerland on the international hip-hop map and founded the first independent French rap label, Unik Records.
2010 was the end for now. Carlos Leal became an actor and even landed a role alongside Daniel Craig in "Casino Royale". After years in Hollywood, he is back - and with him the band.
The reunion shows that real hip-hop never gets old. After their successful summer tour with stops at Bundesplatz Bern, Basel and Thun, the pioneers are rounding off the year in style. Fans can look forward to an emotional journey through time - with all the classics and the legendary battle cry that shaped an entire generation.
