Band history: Hot Water Music was founded in 1994 in Gainesville, Florida, and is one of the bands that have taken punk rock to the next level over the decades. Their sound combines post-hardcore, melodic punk and a raw directness that never seems calculated. Instead of posturing, real substance counts. Instead of gloss, attitude. This mixture has secured the band a firm place in the international scene.
Hot Water Music developed from the DIY environment of the 90s into a reference point for melodic hardcore. Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard shape the emotional core of their songs with their distinctive voices. The lyrics remain close to life, the music uncompromising, but open to development.
