With «Iceman», «Habibti» and «Maid Of Honor», Drake has released three new albums. The triple surprise release marks the first major solo output since «For All The Dogs» from 2023.
Not one, not two, but three new albums will be released by Canadian rapper Drake on May 15, 2026! It was already known that his latest LP, «Iceman», would be released in mid-May. But the fact that the record also has two siblings is a pleasant surprise.
«Iceman» is the centerpiece of this triple release. Drake had been announcing the project for months with live streams, teasers and an eye-catching ice sculpture in Toronto. The album cover shows a hand with a sequined glove (inspired by Michael Jackson) and a bracelet with the inscription «Iceman». In terms of content, the album also partly ties in with the public confrontation with Kendrick Lamar. Tracks like «What Did I Miss?» or «Plot Twist» seem like direct reactions to the past few months.
With «Habibti», Drake audibly takes a different direction. The album is more melodic, reduced in places and more strongly characterized by R&B and Afrobeat influences. The guest appearances by Partynextdoor, Loe Shimmy, Sexyy Red and Qendresa complement the sound on the record perfectly. Drake also takes a different approach with the second cover: A portrait shot of a woman is recognizable on the picture. However, this is covered with adhesive tape so that only the woman's eyes are really visible.
The first thing you notice about «Maid Of Honour» is the more personal setting. This starts with the album cover. According to several sources, Drake's mother can be seen on it. On closer inspection, you also notice the faint outline of two other people who look like a young Drake and his father. Musically, the project moves between rap, pop and club tracks.
