Italian singer and songwriter Ligabue is coming back to Zurich in 2026. As part of his "Certe Notti in Europa" tour, he will fill THE HALL in Dübendorf on 16 May. Ligabue has been one of the defining voices of Italian rock for 35 years and is celebrating this with his fans on his anniversary tour.
Luciano Ligabue was born in Correggio, Italy, in 1960. He worked as a farm worker, accountant and DJ in his younger years before taking off with music at the end of the 1980s. His debut album "Ligabue" was released in 1990 and brought him nationwide success with the song "Balliamo sul mondo". Today, Ligabue is not only a musician, but also an author and director.
In 1995, he released his fifth studio album "Buon Compleanno Elvis". This album marked a turning point in his career. The first single "Certe notti" is still one of his best-known songs today and proves that rock and soulful ballads do indeed go together. The track has now been streamed almost 70 million times on Spotify. The music video has been viewed around 40 million times on YouTube.
His other hits such as "Urlando contro il cielo", "Piccola stella senza cielo" and "Ho messo via" are also emotional and thought-provoking without losing their rock style. His songs are about friendship, longing, love and everyday experiences - in keeping with the artist's down-to-earth style.
Ligabue fills stadiums in Italy, but he has also built up a stable fan base outside his home country. The 65-year-old singer's last show in Zurich took place in the Hallenstadion in 2023. Now there is another chance to see Ligabue live: On 16.05.2026, he will play a concert for his Swiss fans in THE HALL.
