"It’s Time!" has long been Mariah Carey’s signal that the Christmas season has begun. In 2027, the phrase also fits the Swiss festival summer: On July 20, the singer will perform at Moon+Stars on the Piazza Grande in Locarno, blending her pop and R&B repertoire with tracks from the album “Here For It All.”
Since the early 1990s, Mariah Carey has continually evolved her sound. Grand pop ballads are just as much a part of it as R&B and hip-hop influences. “Fantasy” and “We Belong Together” are prime examples of different phases of her career.
Carey has never stuck to a single musical formula. It is precisely this breadth that keeps her catalog interesting even after more than three decades.
With “Here For It All,” Mariah Carey released her 16th studio album in 2025. The album blends pop and R&B with gospel and hip-hop influences.
The guest list also bridges different generations and styles: Anderson .Paak, Kehlani, Shenseea, and The Clark Sisters are featured on the album. “Type Dangerous” showcases a Mariah Carey who continues to add new music to her extensive back catalog.
Moon+Stars 2027 will take place from July 15 to 25 in Locarno. The Piazza Grande forms the heart of the festival, situated between the Old Town and Lake Maggiore.
This setting is a perfect fit for Mariah Carey: big pop moments, R&B, and quieter passages don’t take place in a traditional arena, but rather during a festival evening right in the heart of the city. This blends Carey’s current musical phase with the unique backdrop of the Piazza Grande.
Now, “All I Want For Christmas” are tickets to Moon+Stars 2027.
