British alternative rock duo Placebo are playing at the Hallenstadion Zurich to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their eponymous debut album. Fans can look forward to something very special on November 4, 2026.
When Placebo emerged in the mid-90s, they were hard to pin down. They didn't fit into any clear pigeonhole. Guitar-heavy but pared down, dark but accessible. The debut album «Placebo» was released in 1996 and set an independent tone early on. The band led by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal positioned themselves outside the mainstream and quickly found an international audience.
Now, 30 years later, the alternative rock duo are celebrating the milestone birthday of their first album. In addition to an acoustic concert on April 11, 2026 as part of Zermatt Unplugged, Placebo will also be celebrating the anniversary at the Hallenstadion Zurich. Fans can look forward to something very special at the concert on November 4, 2026. Back in November 2025, Brian Molko revealed in an interview with VRT Radio 1 that they were definitely planning something special for their 30th anniversary.
Ticketcorner Live Club members can already secure their tickets for the concert on November 4, 2026, on March 25, 2026, at 10 am. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public on March 27, 2026, also at 10 a.m.
