Three questions for Trauffer about his new album «Heubode»

22/08/2025 written by Dominik

The Swiss Alpentainer is finally releasing his long-awaited new album «Heubode». The sound is typical Trauffer, radiates good humor and invites you to sing and dance along.

Trauffer remains true to himself and surprises at the same time: «Heubode» refreshes the typical sound with new ideas. The first six song releases, which have been available since November 2024, are already being listened to by fans up and down. And it will be the same with the new songs.

event. editorial team: Which song on the new album is closest to your heart - and why?
Trauffer: I think «Turnverein» is closest to my heart, because I think «Turnverein» is the funniest at the moment. But that could be different next week. «Turnverein» is such a «good mood song» and this album is supposed to spread a good mood. That's what I like to do best. So that people smile, sing along and dance. That works best with «Turnverein».

What was the biggest surprise or challenge during the creation of the new songs?
During the recordings, everything actually went plus/minus the way we wanted it to. We are a well-rehearsed team. The biggest surprise came during the writing process. Georg Schlunegger and I - we were working together for the first time, even though we've known each other for ages and grew up valley to valley in Brienz and Grindelwald - we agreed to write songs three times over two days. And after one and a half days we had twelve top songs on the table. I already knew that working with Georg Schlunegger could be good and cool. But the fact that it matched so well was a huge surprise for me.

If you had to describe the album in a few words - what would they be?
Genuine, authentic and Bernese dialect rock.
