PUR musical "Abenteuerland" celebrates Swiss premiere in Basel
The German cult band PUR is bringing its greatest hits to the musical stage. After 454 sold-out shows in Düsseldorf, "Abenteuerland" is coming to Switzerland for the first time.
Over 400,000 fans have already celebrated the musical, now it's Basel's turn. From 24 to 29 March 2026, "Abenteuerland" will be making a guest appearance at the Musical Theater Basel as the only Swiss venue on the tour.
Producer Martin Flohr has woven 30 songs by the successful German pop band into a family story that spans three generations. Director Dominik Flaschka and choreographer Jonathan Huor, both Swiss, developed the piece for the stage. Frontman Hartmut Engler admits that he had to take out a handkerchief at each of the eleven performances he attended.
