CAVALLUNA returns with a new chapter. «The Colors of Life» is the name of the new show and it combines horsemanship, dance, music and visual effects to create a dense stage experience. The show will tour Switzerland from November 2026 to February 2027. The focus is on powerful images, a clearly told story and precisely choreographed horsemanship.
Shepherd boy Arhat lives a secluded life in the mountains of northern India. After the death of his mother, he accepts her last mission. He is to free people from the veil of forgetfulness. This invisible force distracts them and keeps them trapped in a meaningless routine. Together with his companion Shaneya, Arhat sets out to find the source of this veil. But the merchants of fear do everything they can to maintain their control. They pursue the two and eventually drive them into the Valley of Truth. There it is decided whether Arhat and Shaneya can permanently overcome fear and oblivion.
Renowned equestrian teams from all over Europe stand in the ring and bring their own signature style. This creates a plurality that runs through the entire evening. When fiery Andalusians from Spain appear, power and temperament dominate the scene. Shortly afterwards, black Frisians from Germany show calm and expressiveness. Trick riders from France also join in the action and increase the tempo with fast passages. Between these dynamic moments there are deliberately quieter scenes. The trust between man and horse becomes visible in sensitive liberty dressage. This is followed by a spectacular Hungarian post to raise the energy level again. Even miniature ponies make an appearance and liven up the dramaturgy.
The orchestral soundtrack carries the production from scene to scene and gives the images a clear rhythm. Epic passages follow quieter moments, creating emotional contrasts. Large-format projections visually open up the space and transform the circus ring into changing landscapes. Colored lighting effects shape the scene to direct the viewer's gaze. Breathtaking dance interludes are integrated into these visual worlds, enhancing movement and expression. Riders, dancers and horses act in close coordination. The result is a cohesive stage set that organically combines music, dance and horsemanship.
The show can be seen from November 14-15, 2026 in the Festhalle Bern, from November 21-22, 2026 in the Hallenstadion Zurich and from February 13-14, 2027 in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel. Tickets are already on sale.
