Following its premiere in early 2026, the Pink Ribbon Music Show will be performed again in February 2027. The charity musical combines specially composed songs in the local dialect with a fictional story about friendship, solidarity, and coping with a breast cancer diagnosis. The project is organized by Pink Ribbon Switzerland and Musical Director Jesse Ritch.
Musician Jesse Ritch has been one of the most recognizable voices on the Swiss pop scene for years. He became known to a wider audience in 2012 through his appearance on “Deutschland sucht den Superstar.” Since then, he has released several of his own productions and regularly supports social and charitable projects.
Jesse Ritch plays a central role in the Pink Ribbon Music Show. He wrote the musical’s songs in the local dialect, performs on stage himself, and, as musical director, oversees the musical production. The songs were composed specifically for the production and are closely tied to the plot.
The Pink Ribbon Music Show is not intended to be a traditional concert. Instead, the production combines music, drama, and dance into a continuous narrative. The focus is on people who are confronted with difficult life situations and rely on support from those around them. The themes of friendship, love, and hope run throughout the entire plot.
In addition to Jesse Ritch, the cast includes Tiziana Gulino, Jane Bogaert, Ronja Katzman, and Michael Graber. Sven Epiney also takes on a special role. The longtime television and radio host is not on stage as a host this time, but rather guides the audience through the story as the narrator.
The screenplay was written by Nicole Zindel, founder of Pink Ribbon Switzerland. Curtis Burger is responsible for the choreography. The performers are accompanied by a live band featuring Felix Zindel, Lisa Scannell, Greg Galli, and Marc Portmann.
The first confirmed performances will take place on February 5 and 6, 2027, in Zurich. According to the organizers, additional performances are in the planning stages. The production also marks the kickoff of Pink Ribbon Switzerland’s 20th anniversary year; the organization has been committed to raising awareness and providing education about breast cancer since 2007.
With the return of the Pink Ribbon Music Show, the organization is once again focusing on the connection between music and social engagement. The emphasis is less on the grand production and more on the story being told on stage.
