The international show "ABBA - The Concert" is one of Europe's most successful ABBA tribute productions and is now coming to Switzerland for the first time. The Italian formation ABBAMUSIC presents the legendary ABBA concert from 1979 at London's Wembley Arena in a lavish live production.
"ABBA - The Concert" is a detailed live show that authentically recreates the original concert. With original outfits, live singing, instrumental accompaniment and choreography, the result is a stage experience that brings the flair of the ABBA concerts of the 1970s back to life. The show includes all of the band's well-known hits - including "Waterloo", "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia" and "Super Trouper" - and is based on the original arrangements from the 1979 Wembley show.
Angela Castellani embodies Agnetha on stage. Away from the stage, the cum laude conservatory graduate is an internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter and vocal coach. Irene Pertile - in the role of Frida - has been working with her for over ten years. She has also enjoyed success as a studio singer and at renowned Italian musical theaters.
Björn is played by Ludovico Banali, who has been playing the guitar since the age of eleven and refined his training at the Mantua Conservatory. Benny's parts are provided by Eduardo Mezzogori, whose virtuoso playing on piano and keyboards rounds off the repertoire brilliantly.
The quartet is complemented by professional backing vocals and a strong rhythm section: Stefano Zanon on drums and Giovanni Antonio Scarabel on bass.
The show is aimed at a broad audience and emphasizes the cross-generational character of ABBA's music. The event is a tribute to the band and appeals to both long-time fans and new generations who want to discover the music of ABBA.
