230,000 tickets have already been sold for the Basel production of Disney's "The Lion King" - and with 200,000 visitors in the first four months, it has reached the highest number of visitors ever for a musical performed in Switzerland.
In the last few days, the musical has set another record worldwide: an incredible 80 million visitors have seen it since its launch 18 years ago, in22 productions around the globe. For several years now, "The Lion King" has been the most successful musical of all time. It employs over 1,700 people worldwide.
