Income from music sales is dwindling, which is why it is all the more important for musicians to be successful on tour. The American "Billboard" magazine has now revealed who toured the world most successfully between November 10, 2015 and June 6, 2016.

Bruce Springsteen, who will be playing at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on July 31, was the most successful in this period: 45 shows, over 1.1 million visitors and over 135 million dollars in revenue. Madonna follows in second place and Beyoncé in third.

It is interesting to see the relationship between the number of concerts and the revenue. For example, Beyoncé only played 18 concerts in the same period as Springsteen and took in almost 97 million dollars. Taylor Swift played 12 concerts and took in over 33 million dollars.

Here, too, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band are the most successful. He took in 19,228,100 dollars at just two concerts in Dublin, with 160,188 people attending the spectacle. The Rolling Stones followed in second place and Adele in third. She played a total of eight times in London's sold-out O2 Arena and took in 14,759,300 dollars. 126,043 people found their way to one of her concerts.
