They stand for American shows like Hollywood or New York's Broadway: since the 1950s, the Harlem Globetrotters have enchanted spectators around the globe with their basketball cabinet tricks.
The team has even been a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame since 2002, which is tantamount to an accolade. On March 26, the Americans will once again be making a guest appearance in Zurich's Hallenstadion. As always, the exceptional players have a colorful mix of spectacular flying moves, amazing dribbles and surprising passes in their luggage.
But it's not just basketball fans who will be entertained: The Harlem Globetrotters are also notorious for their jokes and gags, which are often at the expense of their opponents or selected spectators.
The only thing the 2½-hour show will not be able to fulfill is the desire for an exciting game. The last time the globetrotters from the New York district of Harlem lost a game was in 1971.
