Thrills and goosebumps in the cornfield maze

08/09/2017 written by Benedikt Lachenmeier
Horror and action in tranquil Kerzers - that's what the Crazy Nock Brothers' new show offers.

Their aim is for people to leave the show with their mouths open, says Armando Nock. As the eighth generation of the oldest Swiss circus family, he and his brother Patrick know how to captivate an audience - the "Crazy Nock Brothers" have been on the road since 2001 and their stunt shows with monster trucks and daring motorcycle maneuvers are known far beyond Switzerland's borders. Now the thrills have been joined by goosebumps: "SwissHorrorNights" is the name of the show the brothers are hosting in a cornfield in Kerzers, Fribourg.

Only the spectators are allowed to be scared

A horror labyrinth awaits visitors there, with many a gruesome surprise, combined with spectacular features such as the "Globe of Death", which three motorcyclists ride through from the inside at the same time, criss-crossing and looping. "There's no place for fear here, but you have to have respect," says Armando Nock. "The difficulty is controlling your reflexes and, of course, you have to be absolutely free from vertigo." This also applies to the high wire, where Armando will also be in his element. "I've been doing this since I was six years old," says Nock, "as soon as I take my first step onto the rope, I'm in my own movie." Motocross interludes and a wheel of death provide further moments of suspense. Bring strong nerves!
