BAP: Kölsch rock for the fortieth anniversary

BAP have been on the road for forty years. In 1976, the band around Wolfgang Niedecken began with jam sessions until the band celebrated their first successes with their unmistakable rock songs. Their trademark: the Cologne dialect.
The participants in the Vox show "Sing meinen Song" also had to experience this. The lyrics were certainly anything but easy for her. But this was not the only way Niedecken gained a lot of respect: Joachim Gauck awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit in 2013. And of the 23 albums he released, 19 made it into the top 10 and eleven stormed to the top of the German charts.
