Britney Spears performed in Europe for the first time in five years; blog.ticketcorner.ch was there: at the10th Apple Music Festival in London, she wowed the audience - and took a fan by the scruff of the neck during the show.
Because of her Las Vegas show, European fans have had to wait since 2011 for the next concert by Britney Spears (34): since 2013, the US singer has only been seen live in the gambling metropolis.
But now Apple has brought Britney Spears to London for an exclusive concert at the Apple Music Festival. She performed at London's Roundhouse in front of around 3,300 fans and millions of viewers via the internet.
Spears delivered what was expected of her: a show packed full of hits, with no focus on the songs from the new album "Glory". The singer filled the 90 minutes of her show with 22 songs, only two of which were new. So it's no wonder that almost the entire audience sang every line of Britney's hits, from "Oops! I did it again!" to "Toxic".
Of course, Britney Spears didn't sing a note live during the 90 minutes, she just moved her lips to the song. But this didn't bother the fans: "That's what makes Britney so special," said some fans. "Besides, you know that when you go to a Britney concert." Only the band seemed to be playing live at some points.
Spears was accompanied by 14 dancers, who of course far surpassed her in their dancing skills. Nevertheless, Spears was able to keep up well at the age of 34 and worked up a sweat: "It's far too warm in here," she said to the fans. But not everything worked out quite right: during the song "Touch Of My Hand", Spears seemed to lose her balance.
Many elements of the show were taken from the Vegas show. For example, during the song "Freakshow", a selected fan is led around on a leash by the singer and even receives lashes. The lucky fan was David Haynes from Torquay, who was lucky enough to be at the concert: "I didn't have a ticket and found someone who didn't have a companion," he says. It was his third Britney concert: "A security guard asked me if I had a drink. I said no - and suddenly dancers took me on stage and I was standing in front of Britney," he says, beaming. "I noticed her sparkle, she looks beautiful."
Britney Spears is expected to take to the stage for the last time next year for her Vegas show.After four years in Vegas, Britney Spears is ready to go on tour again.There are no confirmed dates yet - but when she does, Britney Spears will definitely be stopping off in Switzerland again.
