Cro comes unplugged

09/06/2016 written by Michel Imhof
Cro has been conquering girls' hearts since 2011. Now he does it without electronic instruments.

He is a teen girl's dream: Cro, the rapper with the panda mask. Nobody really knows what he looks like. And yet the girls scream at him at every concert. Carlo Waibel, the rapper's real name, trained as a media designer at the "Stuttgarter Zeitung" newspaper before he had his first big hit in 2012 with "Easy". Since then, he has been filling the halls, not excluding Zurich's Hallenstadion. And without anyone recognizing him on the street.

Songs released with Max Herre and the Prinzen

He has released two albums so far, and last summer he ventured into his next project: "MTV Unplugged". Together with guest artists such as Max Herre and the Prinzen, he recorded a live concert and album for the music television channel. His hits are presented in a new, acoustic version. With this work, he reached first place in the Swiss, German and Austrian charts. No wonder he wants to bring his music to his fans in a new, more intimate guise. In the summer, he will be touring with his Unplugged hits and will also be visiting Switzerland: the Summerstage and Moon & Stars. There, too, the girls will be screaming at the panda.
